About the RoleWe are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology / Infusion for a 13-week contract in Moab, Utah. The RN will provide specialized outpatient nursing services with a primary focus on infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, and select wound care responsibilities.
The position requires strong critical thinking, medication safety awareness, patient education, infection prevention knowledge, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with patients and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
ResponsibilitiesProvide outpatient oncology nursing care, including chemotherapy and infusion therapy, according to established treatment plans and safety standards.
Assess patients before, during, and after treatment and promptly recognize and respond to changes in clinical condition or adverse reactions.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments while following infection-control, medication-safety, and patient-safety practices.
Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, medications, symptom management, and ongoing care needs.
Perform general outpatient nursing duties, including applicable wound care, clinical documentation, and coordination with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
Registered Nurse Candidates With Less Than 1 Year of Experience May Be Considered; Outpatient Oncology, Chemotherapy, or Infusion Experience Preferred.
Current, Unencumbered Utah Registered Nurse License or Active Compact-State RN License Required.
Current ONS Chemotherapy/Oncology Provider Certification Required.
Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS Certifications Required.
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required; Wound Care Certification Preferred; COVID-19 Vaccination or Approved Exemption Required.
